We’re happy to announce this year’s winners of AFAF’s International strings Competition ”Golden Strings of America 2019″.

 

This year, the level of the competition was exceptionally difficult, with over 27 students partaking in the competition.

 

We would like to thank everyone who participated and encourage those who did not win this year to try again during the next season.

Detailed information about the winners’ concert will be emailed to the winners after June 5, 2019.

 

  • Participation in a Winners’ Recital at the Weill Recital Hall
    • June 30, 2019 at 11:30 am (very limited placements)
    • June 30, 2019 at 8:00 pm (very limited placements)
    • June 30, 2019 at 8 pm (very limited placements)
    • October 26, 2019 at 1 pm
    • November 23, 2019 at 1pm

  • Recital Fee: $400. This fee includes participation in the concert, five guest tickets, 4 digital pictures, Certificate of Excellence and Diploma of Recognition for the teacher.

  • Winners will have the opportunity to travel to Russia in December to perform in Moscow and St. Petersburg in December 2019.

  • Participation in a special concerts (with a solo performances) at Moscow State Art Gallery of A. Shilov and Vladimir Palace in St. Petersburg.

  • Master class with a member of the Moscow Conservatory faculty (for an additional fee).

  • $200 scholarship for the AFAF Music programs in Europe (Russian winter tour).
