Two Unique Educational Experiences

This year’s AFAF Summer Music Courses in Europe is split into two programs. Both programs include a week of music study during which our esteemed faculty will provide participants with daily coaching’s, private lessons, instruction in music history, as well as a chance to participate in chamber music ensembles, master classes and recitals. Both programs also include several days of travel during which participants will be able to follow into the steps of some of classical music’s greatest composers, do some serious sightseeing and discover the musical and cultural history of Germany-Austria-Italy, and Russia.

The Germany-Austria-Italy Tour

Our first program, the Germany-Austria-Italy Tour, begins on August 1, 2017 in Weimar, where the Music School “Johann Nepomuk Hummel Music School” will once again be playing host to our students. With Weimar as their home base, participants will be able to explore surrounding cities and learn more about the composers that called these cities home, including Leipzig, Dresden, Eisenach, Zwickau and Würzburg. The program ends with an extended trip that will take participants to Austria where they will visit the historic town of Salzburg, as well as to Italy, where they will explore Venice, Vicenca, Treviso and Milan.
