Golden Era of Romantic Music International Competition 2024

Repertoire & Eligibility

Auditions are open to instrumentalists (piano, strings, winds), vocalists and chamber ensembles. Participants of the Romantic Music Competition may perform one or several pieces or songs by any of the Romantic era composers (click here for a helpful list of Romantic composers). A single movement of a sonata, suite or concerto is also acceptable. If you have questions about the audition/performance repertoire, please don’t hesitate to contact us. The winners of the Romantic Music Competition will perform one piece, selected by the judges from the participant’s audition repertoire.

People

Auditions are open to musicians and vocalists of all nationalities and are divided into the following age categories:
A. 6-10 years of age - time limit for performance is 5 minutes 
B. 11-14 years of age -  time limit for performance is 5 minutes 
C. 15-18 years of age -  time limit for performance is 6 minutes 
D. college students -  time limit for performance is 7 minutes 
E. amateur adults - time limit for performance is 6 minutes 

An additional minute of time for performance can be taken for $100.

In addition, all winners will receive commemorative certificates. Please note that multiple winners may be chosen in each age group. Other special prizes may be awarded based on judges’ recommendations.

Winners’ Concerts — Venues & Dates

Winners’ Concerts for the 2024 the Golden Era of Romantic Music International Competition of the American Fine Arts Festival are currently scheduled to take place between October- December, 2024.

Where: New York. US

When: January-May 24”

Participation in a Winner’s Recital at the Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall and Bruno Walter auditorium at Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts.

  • Concert Dates: June and November 2024

  • Recital Fee: $450. This fee includes participation in the concert, five complimentary seats, 4 digital pictures.

  • The Recital fee for ensembles is $250/person.

Awards

  • Participation in a Winner’s Recital at the Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall.

    Concert Dates: Saturday afternoon November 2, 2024 at 1 PM. Saturday afternoon November 9, 2024 at 1 PM.

    Recital Fee: $450. This fee includes participation in the concert, five tickets, 4 digital pictures.

    Certificate of Excellence and Diploma of Recognition for the teacher.

    The Recital fee for ensembles is $250/person.

  • Participation in a Winner’s Recital at the Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall.

    Concert Dates: Saturday afternoon November 2, 2024 at 1 PM. Saturday afternoon November 9, 2024 at 1 PM.

    Recital Fee: $450. This fee includes participation in the concert, five tickets, 4 digital pictures.

    Excellence and Diploma of Recognition for the teacher.

    The Recital fee for ensembles is $250/person.

  • Bruno Walter auditorium at Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts. Concert date: Saturday afternoon June 15, 2024 at 2 PM.

    Recital Fee: $400. This fee includes participation in the concert, four complimentary seats, 4 digital pictures.

    Diploma of Recognition for the teacher.

    The Recital fee for ensembles is $200/person.

How to Apply

Applicants must submit a YouTube link (other platforms can't be used) of their audition performance, along with a completed application online and a non-refundable application fee.                                                                                                     

The recording must be free of background noise and distortion.                                                                                                                                                                               

• Please note that due to the large number of submissions, audition recordings will not be reviewed.

Application Fees

For the Golden Era of Romantic Music International Competition the application fee is $250.

Ensemble member fee is $150

Deadline

Applications and YouTube links must be sent no later than May 15, 2024. Audition results will be announced on our website on May 25, 2024. Please note that due to the large number of submissions, audition YouTube links will not be reviewed.
